Women’s Wisdom Stories

Women’s Wisdom Stories is a women’s community in Sweden where we are empowering women to thrive through the power of women’s circles and storytelling. Our Swedish name is Vildkvinnans Väg, meaning: Path of the Wild Woman. Both these names – Vildkvinnans Väg and Women’s Wisdom Stories – express what our work is about.

Here we are passionate about creating inspiring, nourishing and soulful spaces for women of all ages to gather in circles, share stories from the heart, connect with nature and explore the Wild Woman archetype through stories and myths for all phases of womanhood. We see Wild Woman as a powerful mythical guide and fantastic support for women in connecting with their inner compass and authentic nature. We are a community of sisters, daughters, mothers, grandmothers and wild women who run with wolves, swim with selkies and fly with dragons!

We offer women’s circles, workshops, moon lodges, retreats and a year-long program called Vildkvinnans Årshjul (Wild Woman Wheel of the Year). Most of our events are held in Swedish, however we do also offer English-speaking events from time to time.

Stina and Camilla

Women’s Wisdom Stories is founded and run by Stina Gray and Camilla Måne.

Stina is a storyteller, author and ethnologist, and Camilla is a circle facilitator, social worker and priestess. Together we have held circles, retreats and courses for women since 2015. The Wild Woman archetype and book Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés have long been an important source of wisdom and guidance for us both.

Our Elders

Our work is supported by a colourful tribe of grandmothers and wise women who all bring to the circle such precious songs, stories and gifts. We are passionate about reclaiming the wisdom and power of all phases of womanhood from girlhood to elderhood.

Ellika Lindén, women’s circle leader

Kirsten Brunsgaard Clausen, religious historian

Pia Rubærno Fjelksted, psychotherapist

Gunilla Glädje Åkerberg, woodswoman and artist of life

Testimonials

“You weave with threads of gold! I feel so deeply held in warmth and genuine sisterhood. Thank you!” Milla

“Genuine, beautiful, magical and with so much heart… filled with the stories, songs and roots of the Nordic folk spirit! I have gone to many courses, but meeting and collaborating with these two wild women has touched me deeply! So genuine and natural without masks and games! I can just bow my head in humbleness and gratitude for the work that you do and are!” Margitta Wigren, priestess and founder of the Hels Vi Goddess Temple

“Once again – a fantastic weekend. So magical to journey with you and all the amazing wild women. You create a wonderful safe space that I look forward to returning to again in the future.” Linda

“Thank you for holding space for me to be free and receive power, courage, inspiration and wisdom.” Lina

“I leave with a selkie skin and beautiful fox tail that will never be hidden away! Music in my body and soul with singing and storytelling. And – I danced! I am surprised by how the music and stories moved me so deeply. I am so grateful.” Victoria

“Absolutely incredible to be a part of this community. I feel so loved and seen. Many thanks for making this possible!” Anna

“I dare to be myself more. I have come closer to my authentic self, to Wild Woman. She dares to show herself more, is more rooted and stable, and not as prone to oblige anymore, and is braver.” Lilian Liberg, masseur & tree sister

Our Music

Dance and sing with us! Music is a big part of our work. We write our own drum songs and chants for our women’s circles and stories, inspired by the landscape and seasons of our Motherland Sweden. Find our music on Bandcamp and Soundcloud.
